The investigation of amplitude-duration recordings of geomagnetic pulsations requires time-spectral analysis. Two problems associated with the application of this analysis are discussed. The first has to do with the conditions under which the ratio between the partial derivative of omega (the frequency of pulsation) and the partial derivative of the moment of time corresponding to the maximal amplitude of the time-spectral diagram coincides with delta t - the width of the output signal envelope at frequency omega. The second problem has to do with finding two parameters on the time-spectral diagram for the real part of the function which approximates the pulsations.
