A statistical analysis of the diurnal variation of delta f0Fe is
performed using ionospheric data over the period 1969-1987. Some
singularities are identified in the winter diurnal variations of delta
f0F2 for 15-18 LT. The results of the study can be used to refine
ionosphere models and in short-term forecasting.
