Data on solar X-rays obtained with the Prognoz 4, 5, and 6 satellites are examined. Spectroscopic studies of soft (about 2 keV) and hard (20-100 keV) X-rays are presented with emphasis on the relative frequency of hard X-ray flares, a comparison of observations of hard and soft X-rays, and the temporal structure of hard pulsed X-ray flares. Particular attention is given to the events of October 6, 1977, and October 12, 1977.
