Scientific paper

The paper develops a method for the direct numerical recovery of values of the refractive index in the earth's atmospherere without linearization of the problem. The approach uses radio-source observations at large zenith sight angles and takes measurement errors into account. It is noted that this approach can be used to recover the refractive-index profile in the troposphere and ionosphere.
