Consideration of the possibilities for an exact or approximate solution to the synthesis problem of an antenna consisting of a star-shaped system of segments. Such a system could be, in particular, a cross-shaped antenna of the kind widely used in radio astronomy. An algorithm is presented for the solution. For illustrating its use, a problem solution is demonstrated for the case of a symmetric cross-shaped antenna. Solutions for other cases are also discussed.
