Mean monthly distributions of meteor radiants, based on observations performed near the equator at Mogadishu, Somalia, in 1969, are presented and compared with mean monthly distributions based on observations simultaneously performed in Kharkov. The reviewed data indicate the existence of a very active region of southern meteor radiants observable through the January-March period. During the other months, the hypothesis of symmetry in the distribution of meteor radiants from the northern and southern celestial hemispheres seems to hold.
