The structure of the solar magnetic field elements in the photosphere is studied on the basis of observations in the Fe I line λ5250.2 Å. It is shown that the magnetic elements in the photosphere are stretched along the east-west line and with weak fields on the periphery, compressed on the western side of element, whence it is concluded on the motion of the magnetic elements relative to the surrounding plasma in the westward direction. Estimates give the difference between rotation rates of elements and plasma as 50 - 60 m/s. Consequently the magnetic elements rotate faster than the photosphere by 2.5 - 3% and with the same rate as the chromosphere.
