This paper reports on Device Single Events (DSEs) occurring in the
Measurements Of Pollution In The Troposphere (MOPITT) space instrument
piezoelectric accelerometers. It is found that DSEs correlate with the
radiation environment, solar activity and high intensity Solar Proton
Events.
