Resonator properties are investigated analytically for fast magnetoacoustic waves in a finite conductivity medium permeated by a nearly horizontal magnetic field. Excitation of the Alfven waves at the Alfven resonance or heating of the medium in the vicinity of the Alfven resonance result from the tunnel penetration of the resonator waves. It is concluded that solar p-mode oscillations can contribute significantly or account for nonradiative heating of the corona.
