We present our simultaneous optical and IR observations of black-hole X-ray binaries 4U 1543-47 and GX 339-4. Observations were obtained by the YALO and SMARTS consortia when both objects were declining in soft X-rays. The most interesting feature of the data is a secondary outburst in the optical and IR light curves with no corresponding rise in the ASM X-ray light curve. In the case of 4U 1543-47 a radio detection was made at the peak of the secondary outburst.
A possible source of this optical/IR reflare is synchrotron radiation emitted from a jet. We explore this hypothesis in this poster and compare our results to another black-hole candidate with similar behaviour, XTE J1550-564.
