Observational evidence processed by means of an automated
microdensitometer is presented for the generation of small-scale dynamic
structure in surging chromospheric plasmas. An MHD interpretation of
this phenomenon is proposed which involves the possibility of a
self-exciting fluctuating magnetic field's generation.
