The ``Schwarzschild-like'' space-time in new general relativity is
singular not only at r=0 but also at r=GM/p. This is so even for the
case in which the metric agrees with the Schwarzschild metric. Quantum
field theories on this space-time will be significantly different from
those on the Schwarzschild space-time in general relativity.
