We have made dual-frequency observations of pulsar single pulses at 318 MHz and 130 MHz (one linear polarization) and at 430 MHz and 50 MHz (dual polarization) at the Arecibo Observatory.. The data have been obtained with 1 microsecond time resolution, and have been recorded prior to detection. We pass the data through a coherent dedispersion filter to completely remove the effects of interstellar dispersion and retain full time resolution. Further processing involves calculating the auto-correlation and cross-correlation functions (CCF) of each pulse and averaging them over a scan of typically 500 pulses. Between 318 MHz and 130 MHz we find a very sharp cross-correlation peak with the characteristic micropulse width for at least two pulsars. Despite a large variation in the average profile cross-correlation due to polarization changes from scan to scan, the micropulse CCF peak occurs at the same location to within a few microseconds over four adjacent scans for PSR_0950+08 By contrast, the average profile CCF shows a variation of more than 10 milliseconds between scans, indicating that exact polarization alignment is essential for high precision DM determinations using average profiles. We will present further results from our 318/130 MHz data set and our 430/50 MHz observations at the meeting. We will discuss the implications of these results for precision dispersion measure determinations and mapping of the emission region geometry.
