Massive black hole binaries may form in galaxy collisions. The main focus of our study is their pairing inside a gaseous circum-nuclear disc. We study the black holes dynamics and accretion history from few hundred parsecs down to sub-parsec separations. This may allow address issues concerning fueling, mass growth and nuclear activity during the latest phases of the merger until their coalescence. The comprehension of these physical processes is essential to asses their detectability by the LISA experiment, and their electro-magnetic identification.
