The event GRB830801b is the strongest γ-ray burst (S(>30 keV) ≈ 2×10-3erg/cm2) registrated up to date. There was no fine time structure in the burst light curve, but the burst had a short precursor. The intensity maximum of this burst in the hard 4.5 - 7.5 MeV energy range precedes the intensity maximum of the soft energy range (39 - 68 keV) by nearly 3 s. It is due to the strong spectral evolution.
