An experiment detecting extensive air showers responding to primary energies greater than 1014 eV is being conducted at Chacaltaya, Bolivia (Elevation 5220 m; geographic latitude 16° S) with counter trays separated at least by 20 m. There is evidence of a sidereal anistropy of about 1.6 per cent with the time of maximum at 1400 LST (Local Sidereal Time). The barometric coefficient is discussed in connection with the absorption curve for extensive showers.
