Scientific paper

This paper discusses some problems concerning the shock wave in the authors' supernova model, including the positions of the formation point and shock front, shock velocity and shock energy. They find that (1) there exists a second wave besides the first one in the outer core; (2) the precise position of the shock front is located between the maximum entropy and the maximum pseudo-viscosity regions. In addition they derive the relations between the different definitions of shock energy.
