I give a solution of Einstein's equations representing a material surface obeying energy conditions and embedded in flat space. It is a member of Weyl's class of static, axially symmetric spacetimes, and can represent a plane distribution of counter-rotating photons or dust. A freely falling observer in the surrounding flat spacetime sees the surface as a moving hyperboloid.
