Protons: Solar Active Regions

Scientific paper

Preliminary results of the examination of four solar proton events recorded on spacecraft separated by ≡60° in azimuth are presented. It is shown that all the events have the same reliably identified source - the complex of active regions 4671-72. The events of July 17 and 20 occurred four and seven days after this complex had passed beyond the limb. The characteristics of this series of events are examined, which are unique in the combination of their properties and are useful for examination of the problems of the physics of solar-terrestrial relations.
