Abstract

The self-similar flows behind a radiation-driven shock wave are
investigated for the case of a nonuniform atmosphere, where the total
energy content of the flow behind the shock increases due to the
absorption of radiation and is assumed to be time-dependent. The values
used in the calculation are those of Ranga Rao and Ramana (1973).
