Recent advances in the technology of telescope sectional mirrors are
reviewed on the basis of a survey of domestic and foreign literature.
Some of the more sophisticated approaches to the design and construction
of controllable sectional mirrors for large terrestrial and space
telescopes are critically analyzed.
