The paper presents a theoretical analysis of the efficiency of the excitation of low-frequency electromagnetic signals during the formation of an HF discharge by the amplitude-modulated field of a radiator situated in the ionospheric plasma. The discharge parameters are evaluated, and the radiation power at the modulation frequency is calculated.
