Evidence of the presence of equatorial Kelvin and mixed Rossby gravity
wave-induced perturbations in the tropical mesosphere is presented.
Rossby gravity wave-induced perturbations feature prominently in the
extratropical mesosphere. The transient wave variance, present in all
seasons, is more intense in periods of high solar activity.
