Searches for physics beyond the Standard Model (SM) have been carried out at the ZEUS and H1 experiments at the HERA ep collider. Results from searches of the positron-proton data taken between 1994-1997 at a centre of mass energy √ {s} ˜ 300 GeV for excited fermions, leptoquarks, R-parity violating supersymmetry and contact interactions are summarized. Preliminary results of searches for exotica, in the 1998-1999 electron-proton collisions are also presented.
