This work is directed to the investigation of the primary solar neutrons contribution to the cosmic ray intensity registered by means of Alma-Ata high altitude neutron monitor. The neutron monitor Alma-Ata (Institute of Ionosphere, Republic of Kazakhstan) has a favourable location (altitude 3340 m above sea level) and good statistics (about 1200 counts per second) to detect and investigations different cosmic ray effects connected with generation of high-energy particles at the Sun. We analysed time series data of the neutron monitor Alma-Ata to find out impulses of primary solar neutrons at background level of neutrons generated by galactic cosmic rays. The data were selected when the Alma-Ata neutron monitor might observe possible solar neutrons. As statistical criterion we used quantity of the information in a finite interval and this quantity was calculated as magnitude of lowering of entropy in this interval. We have shown that such information criterion has very high sensitivity. It allows to find out neutron impulses by duration from 10 about 60 minutes and which amplitude exceeds the background level of indications of the neutron monitor Alma-Ata only 0.3 %.
