We discuss the influence of the vacuum polarization effects on the current and the magnetic field of the superconducting string. We find that the vacuum acts as a paramagnetic core increasing the self-inductance of the string loop and thus decreasing the superconducting current. We study also the magnetization current induced by the vacuum polarization.
