The scattering of the neutral interstellar He atoms in the atmosphere
was analytically calculated. Most important are binary collisions with
neutral oxygen atoms, thus only these have been considered. The
resulting angular distribution strongly depends on altitude, local time,
solar activity, and incidence angle of the He atom.
