Scalar quantum particles are considered in Lense Thirring spacetimes with a cosmic string passing through them, and of a slowly rotating global monopole. The solutions of the Klein Gordon equation in these backgrounds are obtained and some of their consequences are discussed, with emphasis on the role played by the presence of the string and by the rotation of the source, respectively, in the case of a Lense Thirring with a cosmic string and a rotating global monopole.
