Trajectories asymptotic to the equilibrium position of an autonomous Hamilton system with two degrees of freedom are investigated. It is assumed that the characteristic equation does not have multiple roots. The properties of the coefficients of series describing the asymptotic motions are analyzed. The theoretical results are used in an investigation of the motion of a dynamically symmetric satellite about its center of mass in a central Newtonian gravitational field in a circular orbit. The existence of satellite motions asymptotic to regular precessions of the satellite is investigated. The first terms of series representing the corresponding solutions are found for the case of cylindrical precession.
