The high-numbered asteroids 1236 Thais and 1317 Silvretta were observed photoelectrically in UBV. For 1317 Silvretta the authors derived a rotation period of P = 7h.048 ± 0h.006 and a light curve amplitude of 0m.40 with primary and secondary extrema. For 1236 Thais an increase in brightness was detected during three consecutive nights with ΔV = 0m.08, indicating that 1236 Thais might be a slowly spinning asteroid with a very long rotation period. For both asteroids frequently UBV-colors were measured and no variation exceeding the scatter was remarked.
