Using Far Ultraviolet Spectroscopic Explorer (FUSE) data, we have obtained a serendipitous detection of O VI emission from the hot diffuse interstellar medium in the direction l=141.2, b=57.0. This is a particularly interesting direction, being located along the Local Interstellar Chimney, a rarefied extension of the Local Bubble that reaches into the lower galactic halo. The total exposure time was 38.6 ksec, with 28.6 ksec obtained during orbital night. The observed O VI surface brightness at 1032 Å is approximately 2500 photons cm-2 s-1 sr-1. This is similar in magnitude to other detections of O VI emission.
