Matter flow is considered in which the streamline tangents are a linear combination of timelike and axial Killing vectors in terms of physical coordinates for the metric of differentially rotating matter. It is shown that a natural basis for the two-dimensional manifold of Killing orbits can be formed from the vorticity vector, and an orthogonal vector called the local rotation arm. Spin coefficients and Weyl tensor components are also evaluated. It is proved that all configurations must be either Petrov type I or D.
