The role of statistical acceleration in the propagation of solar cosmic rays in the heliopshere is investigated by using an analytical solution to the transfer equation with allowance for the effects of diffusion, convection, and adiabatic deceleration. It is shown that, under conditions where acceleration exceeds deceleration, ultraslow increases and decreases of solar cosmic rays are possible. Cosmic rays superevents are discussed with reference to Helios-1 data for protons with energies of around 10 MeV.
