Nucleosynthesis of different isotopes during the formation and evolution of the solar system is discussed using experimental data on the abundance of isotopes in meteorites and the earth's core and on cross sections of nuclear reactions. The effect of cosmic rays on the formation of lighter and heavier elements is examined, and nuclear reactions caused by cosmic rays are investigated in supernova remnants, dust clouds, and bodies in the solar system. It is shown that such reactions in the solar system lead to changes in the isotopic composition of inert gases and rare elements and form radioactive isotopes of more common elements, such as aluminum, chlorine, and sodium.
