The problem of determining the age of cosmic rays in the Galaxy with the aid of radioactive nuclei is discussed. The relationship between the chemical composition of cosmic rays and their energy is analyzed within the framework of a diffusion model of cosmic ray propagation. Particular attention is given to the interpretation of experimental data in a diffusion model.
