The analysis deals with the role of magnetic drift in a uniform and a distorted magnetic field of the solar wind on the formation of the transverse gradient of galactic cosmic rays with energies up to 10 GeV. The dependence of the transverse gradient on various medium and particle parameters is analyzed on the basis of a solution of the equation of stationary anisotropic diffusion.
