Matlab/Simulink was used during all the development phases of the numerical models of the ATV test facilities. Four years after the development of the first ATV models, several evolutions can still today be regularly planned and efficiently implemented even by a reduced development team. A critical aspect was the possibility to reuse legacy code, encapsulating it into such industrial real-time oriented Simulink environments.
