We intend to carry out a new meteor campaign for the Perseids 2008 using SPOSH (Smart Panoramic Optical Sensor Head) cameras (see Fig. 1 and Oberst et al., this meeting). The SPOSH camera (developed at DLR and Jena Optronik under contract to ESA/ESTEC) has a custom-made optical system with a field of view of 120 x 120° (170° x 170° over the image diagonal) and features a highly sensitive backilluminated 1024 x 1024 CCD. The SPOSH system is perfectly suited for meteor observations. Four SPOSH cameras will be available, which we expect to deploy in the Berlin area, as well as in Southern Germany / Austria. Assuming fair weather conditions and a successful campaign, we will present the results from the Perseids 2008 at EPSC. Again, the campaign of this year will be carried out involving students and trainees from the Technical University Berlin.
