An algorithm is suggested to restore the spatial spectrum phases of an image of a remote object viewed through a distorting medium (atmosphere) on the basis of phase closure relationships determined from a single exposure. The applicability of the algorithm is confirmed by the results of a numerical experiment on the restoration of model objects using perfect and noisy data.
