Pluto: Resonances

In the orbit motion of Pluto, there exist three resonances to keep its stability. They are the 3:2 mean motion resonance, Kozai resonance and the 1:1 super resonance, respectively. By numbers of numerical integrations, the authors explore the three resonance regions in element space and the effects of the giant planets on the three resonances. It is confirmed that the 1:1 super resonance is a secondary resonance to Kozai resonance. The results also show that the 3:2 resonance is the most important among the three resonances, and Jupiter has the most important effect on the resonances.
