During low-thrust acceleration or deceleration in the earth's sphere of influence, the osculating period of the spacecraft revolution can have values that are rationally commensurate with the moon's revolution period. This leads to the problem of orbital resonances, which, under certain conditions, can produce a qualitative change in the pattern of spacecraft motion including capture in stable resonance. An analytical expression is obtained for these conditions; and examples of asymptotically stable resonant orbits are considered for acceleration with tangential thrust.
