Possible existence of primordial gravitational waves with very long wavelength (1-102Mpc) is considered, and an interaction between these waves and gravitationally bound systems, such as galaxies, is studied. It is found that galaxies may be deformed appreciably by an tidal force caused by gravitational waves within an expansion time scale at the present epoch under a favourable condition.
