Exploration of the moon and the planets and their subsequent development and utilization have a possibility of bringing benefits common to mankind such as acquisition of new knowledge, advancement of the space science, extension of the domain of human activities, new natural resources, and development of energy; as the first step toward this goal, we studied future lunar missions and the feasibility of several element technologies to be started earlier with the aim of reflecting the results obtained from the study on future lunar exploration and utilization programs.
