We report on the search for gravitational waves emitted by non-spinning binary black hole inspirals in data taken during the third and fourth LIGO science runs (S3 and S4). We give an overview of the data taken during these sciences runs as well as the target waveforms that we are searching for in this analysis. We briefly describe how the data is filtered and emphasize the difficulties of the search. We report on the status of these searches and prospects for similar searches over the next few years.
