The results of remote sensing of the planets are reviewed, and present
and planned future efforts are examined. Emphasis is given to the
German-American Galileo Mission and to technical developments and
scientific preparations of the HRSC and WAOSS camera experiments in the
Russian Mars '94 Mission.
