Our panel consisted of 13 people involved directly with providing digital images plus two people interested in the topic but not actual providers. Our task was to undertake an informal survey of the status of imaging and imaging data as used by the education public outreach (EPO) community, with emphasis on use by students and amateurs for authentic research. We tried to consider how imaging has changed the last five years, success stories, challenges, and where imaging is headed in the future.
