Prognoz-6 data on the solar flare of September 24, 1977 are examined. The results confirm Lin's hypothesis (1974) according to which two types of acceleration processes can exist in large flares. In one process, electrons are accelerated to energies of several tens of keV and protons are accelerated to energies of several hundred keV. In the second process, relativistic electrons and protons are produced.
