The temporal two-pulse echo in plasmas is examined on the basis of relativistic kinetic equations, taking into account the duration and shape of electromagnetic exciting pulses. It is shown that echo amplitude attains its maximum at temperatures of the order of mc-squared and decreases in the nonrelativistic and ultrarelativistic cases. The relationship between echo shape and exciting-pulse shape is examined for three types of exciting pulses: two longitudinal, two transverse, and one longitudinal and one transverse. The use of plasma echo theory to describe certain pulsar phenomena is examined.
