Branching ratios for emission from nu prime = 0, 1 and 2 of the A 2-Sigma(+) state of OD have been measured using frequency-doubled, tunable dye laser excitation. The six independent ratios so obtained are used to assess calculations incorporating an electronic transition moment varying linearly with internuclear distance. Calculations of the rotational dependence of the transition probabilities in OD, and comments on some recent OH investigations are included.
