Scientific paper

The paper examines the correlation between the Ap index of geomagnetic activity, the interplanetary-scintillation index, and the solar wind velocity in relation to the spatial location of the regions of the interplanetary plasma under investigation. It is shown that the scintillation index can be employed for the prediction of geomagnetic activity, while the solar wind velocity is not suitable for this purpose.
